Senior Data Analytics Engineer

Propelus is seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer in Boulder, CO (onsite) with a salary range of USD 100,000 to 140,000 per year; a Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience are required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines to source data from multiple systems and load it into the data warehouse.
• Model, implement, and optimize data structures to support analytics and reporting needs.
• Partner with data science teams to develop and deploy machine learning models and analytical solutions.
• Ensure data quality and address data integrity issues.
• Contribute to data documentation and metadata governance practices.
• Gather stakeholder data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Support evaluation and adoption of new data technologies and tools.
• Participate in code reviews and help define coding standards and best practices.
• Own assigned tasks and projects from start to finish, delivering on time with quality.
• Proactively identify opportunities to streamline data processes and improve systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar role.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data warehousing services (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with data testing frameworks.
• Experience with ETL tools and techniques such as Apache Airflow and dbt.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and data warehouse architecture.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with at least one programming language such as Python or Java.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaboration on codebases.
