Responsibilities
- Examine and profile large volumes of data, both structured and unstructured, drawn from multiple enterprise sources, and validate quality
- Create and refine ETL pipelines with Informatica PowerCenter to extract, transform, and load data efficiently
- Engage with Teradata databases, Hadoop ecosystems, and Big Data platforms to underpin data warehousing, analytics, and reporting efforts
- Write Python scripts for analytics, automation, data quality validation, and process improvements
- Map data, assess data lineage, and document source-to-target flows
- Partner with business users, data architects, developers, and project teams to elicit and document requirements
- Perform root-cause analysis and data quality investigations to resolve discrepancies
- Support data migration, modernization efforts, and cloud transformation programs
- Monitor batch processes with CA7, managing schedules and coordinating production-support issue resolution
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, and process workflows
- Build dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision making
- Ensure adherence to data governance, security, and regulatory requirements across the enterprise
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data warehousing, or data engineering environments
- Hands-on Informatica PowerCenter ETL development and support
- Extensive Teradata experience with complex SQL development and performance tuning
- Experience with Hadoop ecosystem and Big Data technologies
- Strong Python programming skills for data processing, automation, and analytics
- Experience supporting CA7 enterprise batch scheduling
- Advanced SQL skills for querying large-scale datasets
- Experience performing data profiling, validation, reconciliation, and data quality analysis
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and data integration methodologies
- Experience in banking, financial services, or highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Experience with data governance, metadata management, and data lineage tools
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos
- Familiarity with Unix/Linux scripting and shell programming
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
