Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models across staging, intermediate, and production layers to serve as the single source of truth for Capital KPIs with machine-readable structure
• Ensure data quality through dbt tests, source freshness checks, and documentation so downstream users trust the data
• Write complex SQL transformations on large datasets, optimizing for cost and performance
• Translate business questions into well-scoped analytical requirements; define metrics with Capital leadership and govern definitions in the semantic layer
• Own and evolve the Omni BI semantic layer to enable self-serve analytics and dealer-facing embedded reporting
• Balance ad-hoc requests with scalable solutions by triaging what to answer once versus codifying for future self-service
• Deliver clear data narratives to non-technical stakeholders and support follow-up questions with rapid iteration
• Lead Targeting initiatives: develop models and dashboards to identify high-propensity dealer and borrower segments
• Loan Origination Tracking: create funnel visibility from application to funding, surfacing bottlenecks and opportunities
• Provide analytical support for account management workflows, dealer servicing SLAs, and audit/compliance reporting
• Own analytical initiatives end-to-end, from stakeholder identification to scope and timeline execution
• Proactively surface opportunities and deliver data-driven recommendations beyond requested answers
• Navigate competing priorities across stakeholders and propose win-win solutions when technical requirements conflict

Requirements

• BA/BS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI
• Hands-on production experience with dbt, including model design, testing, documentation, and incremental strategies
• Expert-level SQL with proficiency in window functions, complex joins, and query optimization in BigQuery or a comparable cloud warehouse
• Proven ability to deliver major analytical initiatives independently, from scoping through stakeholder presentation
• Experience with Git-based version control workflows
• Ability to communicate analytical findings clearly to non-technical audiences
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and collaborating in a team-oriented environment
• Collaborative, low-ego mindset focused on the team's collective output
• Strong judgment on when to respond quickly versus when to build a robust solution
